NETS Home Access Policy -- 01/30/12

NETS administration agrees to pay for home network access for those who work or troubleshoot from home on a regular basis.

Reimbursement is subject to the NET Section Head approval.

NETS administration will reimburse for home network access as follows:

Half of one installation cost for home or cellular data access such as: DSL or cable modem (technologies are subject to change and can be discussed or changed as technologies emerge such as wireless, etc.).
- Please request approval before ordering new service
- NETS administration must have the invoice you received to reimburse this
- NETS administration will pay no more than $100 per installation
- NETS administration will pay for up to one installation every three years

Half of monthly service fee per above technologies
- If this is existing service, this should be stated when you request approval
- If this is a new service, please request approval before ordering
- NETS administration will pay up to $50 per month
- You must bring your service invoice into the NETS administration each month, and NETS administration will issue a request for check
Half of home network attachment equipment needed to attach to above service
- Please request approval via the PR system prior to ordering
- NETS administration will not pay for existing equipment
- NETS administration will pay for one equipment order every three years
- NETS administration must have the invoice you receive to reimburse this

IMPORTANT NOTE: The individual should contract for these services. NCAR can not contract these services for the individuals.
