jabber is an Internet messaging service. NETS runs a
jabber server on a virtual machine named jabber.nets.ucar.edu, described on the NETS Jabber server

JIRA
JIRA is a software bug tracking product developed by Atlassian. "JIRA" is a truncation of
"Gojira", the Japanese name for Godzilla. UCAR uses JIRA to track bugs various software projects. UCAR staff with a UCAS account can log in to
the UCAR JIRA server.
JOWPing is a Java applet that does one-way ping tests using the OWAMP protocol. It can be accessed from the perfSONAR webpage. Because it tends to be run behind the UCAR firewall, JOWPing is less useful than
running owping on perfsonar.ucar.edu. See the JOWPing section of the

Journal Storage. A nonprofit group that makes archives of journals available on the Internet. Only journal issues older than 5 years are
stored. As of May 2004, JSTOR is considering becoming an FRGP member. See http://www.jstor.org/
